There are a few specific cases where the alert criteria is checked to see if it should be triggered.
- When the alert is first created
- Any time the alert is edited or updated by the user
- Each time an insight’s data is refreshed during the day to pull in updated stats
If the current metric value matches the alert criteria, the alert is triggered. You may receive multiple emails within 24 hours if your metric continues to climb or drop past the threshold you’ve set.
